1949: Nasce a Ligornetto (Canton Ticino-Svizzera)
1969-76: Vive a Milano dove studia all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera diplomandosi nel 1973. Frequenta il Corso di Mosaico e Affresco della Scuola d’Arti applicate del Castello Sforzesco.
Da Milano inizia un considerevole percorso espositivo internazionale ottenendo vari riconoscimenti.
1985-87: Membro dell’Istituto Svizzero di Cultura a Roma. Oltre all’attività pittorica, prevalente, esercita l’incisione realizzando numerosi libri d’arte in collaborazione con poeti, scrittori e filosofi.
Sue opere si trovano in musei e importanti collezioni pubbliche e private.
Vive a Campora, ha l’atelier a Vacallo, in Valle di Muggio (CH).

1985-87: Mitglied des Schweizer Kulturinstituts in Rom.
Veröffentlichung mehrerer bibliophiler Bücher mit Radierungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Dichtern und Philosophen.
Samuele Gabais Werke befinden sich in Museen sowie in wichtigen öffentlichen und privaten Sammlungen.
Er lebt in Campora und arbeitet in Vacallo, Valle di Muggio (Schweiz).

1949: Samuele Gabai was born in Ligornetto (Canton Ticino, Switzerland).
1969-76: While living in Milan he studied at the Brera Accademy, obtaining his diploma in 1973. At the same time, he attended the mosaic and fresco masterclass offered by the Sforza Castle School of Applied Arts.
During these years, Gabai exhibited his paintings starting a path that will make his work known in many European countries.
Between 1985 and 1987 he was “artist in residence” at the Swiss Institute in Rome. His main activity remained painting, but at the same time he contributed with his etchings to numerous artists’ books, realized through the collaboration with poets, writers and philosophers.
Nowadays his works are displayed in museums and important collections, both public and private.
He currently lives in Campora and works in Vacallo, in the Muggio Valley (Switzerland).
